What happened in Auburn, New York on Saturday and Sunday
 November 26th and 27th 2005?
The First E-Crow Tourism Jaunt!

We came to learn about and watch one of the largest winter crow roosts in the United States.  An estimated 3,000 families of crows roost in Auburn, NY every winter (40-50,000 crows). "Crows are commonly known to be the smartest birds on the planet. We know that they have a way of communicating with each other that we haven't begun to understand, and they use tools!”  - Dr. Anne Clark

Bridget Yanes in awe
at the morning watch
.... and Dora Schomberg and Ahmed Halima are fascinated during the evening watch

Some, like Owen Brown of Beavers, Wetlands & Wildlife  came to learn more about crows .... some came to listen to Dr. Anne Clark of Binghamton University

Some,  were satisfied just watching the crows ... and Aresh Jayadi tried to fly along with them

Whatever the motivation, the whole gang had a great  time!
